“Acumatica is the best replacement for Dynamics GP in the marketplace today. No doubt.”
Did you like FRx? You will like this!
For many years, accounting professionals used FRx to produce financial statements. FRx had its problems, yes. But in general it worked great and accounting teams could make it work well. It allowed detailed drill-downs, had a decent user interface, and the financials it produced looked fairly good. Mostly it was very functional and efficient. Microsoft later replaced FRx (to the chagrin of many) with Management Reporter (“MR”). MR tried to overcome some of the weakness of FRx, but it only served to be more problematic.
Acumatica’s Analytical Report Manager
Imagine if you designed a system with the best parts of FRx and removed the bad. You would have Acumatica’s Analytical Report Manager (ARM). To build reports in ARM, one would utilize the following (these might look very familiar):
Rows – Just like FRx and MR but better, build your row definitions.
Columns – Also like FRx and MR – build the columns you want.
Units – And yes you can split out your financials into the various divisions as you would expect.
If you recognize these terms, then you likely built reports in FRx and then Management Reporter. But Acumatica eliminated the problems that both of these systems had, and added more functionality. It’s a great system, very pragmatic and very straightforward.
What this Means for You
If you currently build, or have built reports in FRx or Management Reporter, then you can almost instantly build financial reports in Acumatica. Training time is minimal. Also there are many resources available to help build these reports, giving so many options. Also, the reports are flexible and have all the features that you would expect, including drill-downs that made FRx very useful.

Don’t Wait, Lines are Forming, Do it now!
Time is running out. Dynamics GP is slated for end of life in 2028. Maybe that sounds like a long time, but the mass exodus from GP has begun and implementation companies will have no time to help you or they will begin to increase rates substantially. Think of the 10’s of thousands of GP customers who are leaving GP behind. Don’t get caught in the long line. You should do it now.
Let us show you how it can be done.
